Abstract

The object of this work is the Psychology elaborated and transmitted in education institutions in the city of São Paulo in the nineteenth century (until 1870).The documentary material, collected in the libraries of these institutions and evaluated as relevant for the purpose of the research was consulted, reproduced or transcribed, and then selected taking into account, among other things, their importance and diffusion at that time.
