Sexual aggression: adjustment of narcissistic-identity disorder

The study aims to illustrate, through two cases, how certain perverse adjustments against the threat of depressive or psychotic decompensation are expressed in projective clinical work, a recurrent problem in many sexual aggressors. The author presents two cases illustrating these defensive organizations. One case is related to a young adult rapist whose psychotic personality structure is compensated by an object relation and by perverse acts directed to perversity, avoiding delirium when faced with the risk of inexistence. The other case is related to a pedophile adult who uses these same strategies to defend himself against narcissistic depressive anxiety. The projective tests are interpreted based on the psychoanalytic theory.Downloads
