Abstract

The Serra Negra Letter is a document summarizing a meeting of representatives of all Psychology Courses in Brazil promoted by the Federal Council ofPsychology. The Letter contains seven Guiding Principles of Psychology Training and ten Suggestions for the Operationalization of these Principles. The objectives of the present study were: a) to inquire about this letter, and b) to evaluate the Psychology Course of FFCLRP-USP on the basis of the same document. The results pointed out the difficulty in elaborating a common subsidy for all Psychology Courses and questioned the relationship between the Principles and the Suggestions stated in Serra Negra Letter.
