Intervenções Psicossociais para Pessoas Idosas com Bipolaridade: Revisão Sistemática com Metanálise

O Transtorno Afetivo Bipolar é um transtorno mental crônico que pode acarretar sérias consequências à pessoa idosa. O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar as evidências de eficácia de intervenções psicossociais e baseadas em Terapia Cognitivo-Comportamental para a bipolaridade. Para tanto foi realizada uma revisão sistemática com metanálise a partir de ensaios clínicos randomizados, publicados entre 2012 e 2022, que contivessem pessoas idosas em suas amostras. A busca, realizada nas bases de dados Pubmed, SciELO, CENTRAL e PePSIC, resultou em 1069 artigos, sendo incluídos 15 para esta pesquisa. Foram utilizadas as recomendações do PRISMA e da JBI. Constatou-se que psicoeducação e, especialmente, intervenções em Terapia Cognitivo-Comportamental podem melhorar sintomas neste transtorno. Por meio da metanálise observou-se efeito a favor da Terapia Cognitivo-Comportamental para redução de mania, mas não para depressão. São necessários, contudo, mais estudos, visto que não foi encontrado nenhum conduzido exclusivamente com pessoas idosas.
