Gestão da informação nos processos de pregões eletrônicos em uma instituição federal de ensino

Abstract

The electronic auction is a form of bidding for the acquisition and contracting of common services and is mandatory for public bodies, including Federal Universities. The electronic bidding process consists of routines, procedures and information. Information has strategic value for organizational learning and decision making. For the information to be used properly, it is essential to manage information in the identification of needs, search, organization, distribution and use of information. This research aims to analyze how information management is characterized in electronic auctions in a Federal Education Institution. The study will be carried out at the Federal University of Alagoas, the largest public higher education institution in the State of Alagoas. The research is characterized by being descriptive with a qualitative approach. Interviews with a semi-structured questionnaire will be applied as a data collection instrument, having its construction based on the steps outlined in the information management model by Choo (2003). As a method of data investigation, content analysis will be applied. The research is relevant because by identifying how information management takes place in the institution, it can bring improvements in the use of information, in the development of information products and services based on the informational needs of purchasers.
