The relationship between research data sets deposited in a data repository and scientific journals
Abstract
The study aims to investigate the relationship between data sets deposited in data repositories and their scientific articles over a five-year period. For this purpose we studied the concepts of open research data, data sharing, principles and guidelines for research data management, open data repository, scientific journals, in the light of scientific communication. The research is characterized as a descriptive research with quantitative and qualitative approach, basic in nature with inductive method and with the transverse time horizon, because it will analyze a set of data sets in a specific period. For data collection a script will be used to obtain the sample automatically, which will be done through Application Programming Interface (API), this resource is provided by DataCite, a non-profit organization that provides free persistent identifiers for data and results. of research.
