Comunicações científicas sobre business process management: uma análise estatística sobre as produções científicas brasileiras
Abstract
From November 2019 to August 2020, a data collection was carried out in the Google Scholar, Base de Dados Referenciais de Artigos de Periódicos em Ciência da Informação and Scielo knowledge bases, in order to know the Brazilian scientific production on Business Process Management theme. The scope is delimited to search for articles in Portuguese language, published in scientific journals, or in proceedings of scientific congress. The search resulted in 98 scientific communications, of which 56 were discarded, as these are other types of works, in addition to the disposal of articles recovered in a foreign language. Thus, 42 scientific publications were analyzed. As a result, there was a greater number of publications on Business Process Management in 2014. However, there is a growing trend of publications on Business Process Management. Among the frequently used keywords are Business Process Management and Business Process Management System. Regarding the authorship of the analyzed articles, the author Elisângela Cristina Aganette of the Federal University of Minas Gerais stands out among the 10 authors that most publish articles on Business Process Management. The University of São Paulo stands out as the institution with the highest number of authors. Regarding the theoretical frameworks to support research, Davenport is the most cited author with 36 citations in articles. In addition, the trio formed by Davenport, Hammer, and Champy are the authors who have reference works that serve as a subsidy for Brazilian research on the subject of Business Process Management.
