Necessidade de informação da pessoa com deficiência visual e a proposta de artefato para sua mobilidade indoor

Abstract

This paper proposes identify people’s with visual impairments informational needs when using the Dosvox computer system. Its objective was investigate through user study to provide support and guidance for technological artifact development using the system hich allows access to information on paths and barriers to be faced in indoor mobility. he methodology used was data collection made with 48 visually impaired people at a national meeting of Dosvox users addressing categorization of information need, the reason for using Dosvox system and the satisfaction degree of their information needs when using instruments developed. Through data analysis, it was possible to establish a probable relationship between information needs of person with visual impairment and the use of artifact to be developed. The validation of data collection instrument from the point of view of study of information users and the results of protocol analysis presented support and guide development of the artifact.
