A economia política da informação e a Ciência da Informação: contribuições teóricas para uma interdisciplinariedade crítica ao estudo da informação

Abstract

Political Economy of Information and that of Information Science. We present a definition of Information Political Economy and Information Science, from an economic perspective and from critical studies on information. The scientific and positive tradition of studying information in Information Science changes and incorporates several theoretical contributions from the humanities. We show that these two areas of investigation bring significant theoretical contributions to the reflection on public policies, on the epistemological field and the function and dynamics of science in contemporary society. The article uses the qualitative methodology based on bibliographic review.
