Abstract

During the viceroyalty, the religious orders fulfilled vitally important tasks from evangelization, the first european in arriving at many zones of the New Spain were religious, these took the spanish way of life and so they initiated a way of transformations. The monks constructed towns, equipped them with services, administered and educated. One of the religious orders, used techniques advanced in that time, the Jesuits, institute a territorial control system directed to generate the economic sustenance of its work in America, the maintenance of the missions and the schools are realized from systems of haciendas administered of shining way, planned their regional development, formed market strategies, incorporated new technologies and designed the acquisition strategies, the systems of haciendas Jesuits were most productive until their expulsion in 1767, situation that collapse the economy of several regions. An example of this is the system of properties of the schools of Tepotzotlán.
