La vida cotidiana y el mundo natural en los milagrosde la Saga del obispo Þorlákr (Islandia, siglo XIII)

Este artículo analiza la Saga del obispo Þorlákr (Þorláks saga biskups, c. 1200), centrándose en la relación de Þorlákr con la comunidad en la que vivía a partir de sus milagros póstumos, especialmente aquellos relacionados con el clima, los animales y la vida cotidiana en la Islandia medieval. Se buscó comprender el documento como constructor de una realidad dentro de una cultura de la memoria, a partir de las concepciones de su autor, en el marco de la tradición narrativa islandesa del siglo XIII. Se analiza la documentación tanto desde la intertextualidad de la saga con el repertorio hagiográfico de la cristiandad latina como desde la representación de elementos autóctonos del período en que la saga fue escrita y adquirió sentido entre su audiencia. El artículo se divide en cuatro partes: la primera, a modo de introducción, presenta un breve panorama sobre las sagas de obispos y la Saga de Þorlákr, además de consideraciones teóricas sobre las sagas como fuente histórica; luego, una crítica al único estudio brasileño que analizó la misma saga desde otras perspectivas teórico-metodológicas; a continuación, un análisis histórico-antropológico de los milagros póstumos de Þorlákr a partir del recorte mencionado; por último, consideraciones generales sobre los resultados de los análisis y sobre el objeto de estudio del artículo.
