Preliminary survey on microbiological conditions of the cotton wet alcohol prepared for the skin antissepsis before injection. Samples of the material were collected from 2 groups (I and II) of 20 containers each, in several occasions: at the moment of the preparation and every 24 hours, during 4 days. Group I, where the cotton was handled directly, without peans. the material remained asseptic from the moment of its preparation up to 24 hours of use (one day) and afterwards contamination caused by Gram positive and Gram negative germs was found. Group II, where the cotton was handled with sterilized pean, contamination was found later on, that is, on the 4th- day and in only two samples (flasks).Downloads
