The obstetrical nursing practice has shown a insufficient exchange of information among prenatal care service and delivery room and postnatal unities, mainly related to women needs and condition. The lack of this information makes difficult planning and implementing nursing care during labor, delivery and postpartum period. Moreover, nursing care given is fragmented so that in every Maternity Unit the woman is assisted by a different element of the nursing team. The knowledge of. the evolution and the condition of labor and delivery by the postnatal ward nurse will make possible an individualized and continuous nursing care. Our study .involves a study on a systematic communication among the members of the various services and unities related to problems and needs of the women. We propose a tool for the follow-up of women during labor delivery which will be evaluated by obstetrical nurses regarding its form, content and applicability.Downloads
