The ostomy patient's rehabilitation has been an important point of interest to health professionals in the last decennium. It is supported this study to verify the dificulties related to ostomy self care, showed by 45 ostomy patients after hospital discharge, in different periods of late post operative. The data was obtained by patients from two ambulatorial services of São Paulo city, through the interviews. The ostomi-zeds were selected by previous established criteria agreement and then subdivided in three groups as the post operative period. It is possible to verify that the great difficulties mentioned by the patients related to self care were the lack of capacity to manage the collecting devices and skin problems, without important differenes among the groups.Downloads
