The aim of this study was to understand the reasons that lead both nursing technicians and assistants to enter undergraduate nursing programs. This study was carried out in a teaching hospital in the city of Sao Paulo, under a qualitative research perspective, and the methodologies adopted were the Thematic Oral History and the Thematic Categorical Analysis. There were eleven participants: three nursing technicians and eight nursing assistants.Downloads
