Introduction: Tuberous breasts are aberrant breast shapes. Surgical management of tuberous breast deformities is a challenge for plastic surgeons. Due to the aesthetic implications, it is important for the surgeon to be able to identify them in order to provide appropriate patient management. Case Report: A twenty-year-old healthy patient sought outpatient plastic surgery due to breast asymmetry and bilateral areolar dilation, presenting a clinical picture compatible with type 1 tuberous breast deformity. She underwent vertical mastopexy, associated with bilateral breast implantation with a prosthesis, to correct the tuberous breast deformity. Method: Case information was obtained through anamnesis and medical records. The patient signed an informed consent form and rigorous research into the Helsinki principles was performed. Results: Correction of tuberous breasts involves several technical factors and individuals to be considered; several surgical techniques have been described. Vertical mastopexy, associated with breast implantation, may be effective for the correction of constricted breasts. Conclusions: The treatment of choice for tuberous breasts is based on individual assessment. The vertical mastopexy described in this study is an alternative for the treatment of constricted breasts.
