Journey Academic of Health Education: strategies for producing a free online event

Abstract

Introduction: The world suffered severe consequences from the impacts of COVID-19. The health system showed several vulnerabilities in the moment of crisis, because of this numerous alternatives emerged as a solution in the pandemic context. In this scenario, medical services adopted Digital Health as an alternative to face the pandemic. However, there is still a need for debate on the subject within society. Objective: To report the experience of organizing an online event to disseminate themes about Digital Health. Methods: The Report of Experience occurs through the promotion of an online event from academics of health courses at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC). In it, lectures on Digital Health were given between October 20 and 22, 2022 through Streaming services. Results: The main difficulty points in organizing the event were analyzed. From this, a survey was carried out about the number of people who had access to the lectures and what should be the possible changes for the next editions. Conclusion: The realization of the III JAESD contributed to the dissemination of knowledge about Digital Health and enabled the gain of experience in digital skills for all involved.
