The “Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo”- 95 years of history

Abstract

The aim of this articles is to show to all the readers of the “Revista de Medicina” a bit more about the creation and the beginning of the “Faculdade de Medicina da Universiadade de São Paulo” scholarship, which is completing these year its 95th birthday, and still keeps the same will to engrain the intends which sustained its birthday. Besides that, it is approached all the legal aspects and the proposals of its creators,  such as the organization of its “corpo docente”, by the first principal, and his efforts to fi nd an adequate place where the curse could me ministered, until the end of construction of its fi nal building and its hospital. It also shows who were the first professors, how the curse was first organized and, finally, shows all the efforts to build, and make better, the medical scholarship, and the community assistance, keeping its excellence until nowadays.
