The anesthetic blocks of the trigger points with local anaesthetias or botulinus toxin are effective for treatment of myofascial pain syndromes and other. The blocks of the sympathetic chain is efficient for treatment of complex regional pain syndromes. The epidural blocks with catheters are efficient for treatment of widespread myofascial and muscleskeletal pains. Techinical problems, nature and amount of agentes used are the causes of complication. The historical aspects the pharmacokinetics and technical aspects of the procedures are described.
