Cervicalgia may be the result of muscle-skeletal, neurologic and visceral abnormalities affecting the cervical structures or systemic diseases. The muscle-skeletal diseases, specialy the myofascial pain syndromes are the most common reasons of cervical pains. The rich innervation and the mobilidity of the cervical structures trads the fadigue. Cervicalgia may be acute and regional or chronic, associated with widespread pain. Physical examination is more imporant for the diagnosis than the image and laboratory exames.
