Resumo

Há indícios de que uma Singularidade Tecnológica possa estar no horizonte? Na tentativa de responder a essas perguntas, os autores fizeram uma pequena introdução à área de pesquisa de segurança em inteligência artificial. Os autores revisam alguns dos paradigmas atuais no desenvolvimento de sistemas inteligentes autônomos, buscando evidências que possam indicar a chegada de uma possível Singularidade Tecnológica. Por fim, os autores apresentam uma reflexão a partir da pandemia da COVID-19, que mostrou que o maior problema da sociedade global na gestão de riscos existenciais é a falta de capacidade de coordenação como sociedade global.
