Welthandelsrecht und umweltschutz am beispiel des verfahrens us-shrimp

O presente trabalho analisa a relação entre as tendências de liberalização do comércio internacional e a proteção ao meio ambiente, tendo em vista o julgamento de caso concreto pela Organização Mundial do Comércio, em que legislação americana proibia a importação de camarão que fosse capturado sem observação de alguns requisitos, que visavam à proteção de tartarugas ameaçadas. A análise aborda os fundamentos jurídicos da decisão, bem como uma discussão das conseqüências da mesma.
