Abstract

The authors studied the Strongyloidiasis incidence in 50 mongrel dogs, all from the city of São Paulo, Brazil: a) fecal examinations were performed by the following techniques: Willis, Baermann, Hoffmann and ether-sedimentation, with the following percentual results: Baermann 93,5%; Ether sedimentation 19,3%; Hoffmann 6,4%; Willis 0,0%. b) post-mortem examinations were made both by counting in scrapings of the mucosa and by counting the ones not extracted by the scraping: these were collected by means of the Mello and Campos technique (in press).
