Resumo

This almost-experimental study utilized an education model to develop critical thought in a group of first year nursing students having as an objective to determine skills acquisition. Twelve weeks after its implementation the results showed the treatment statistical significance. Therefore, the instruction method utilized to promote critical thought skills produced education the intended result in introductory nursing courses
