Amyloid. Heart Failure. Signs and SymptomsAbstract
Amyloidosis is a result of the extracellular deposit of seric proteins (amyloid) and almost all organs can be compromised. Cardiac amyloidosis is usually a progressive cardiomyopathy that has a bad prognosis. We present here a case report about a patient that had signs and symptoms of heart failure and left ventricle hypertrophy. Because it was not possible to make the diagnosis of cardiac amyloidosis in time, he died. This disease must be considered when no other cause for those findings existsDownloads
