Instrumentos de avaliação em cuidados paliativos pediátricos em contexto hospitalar: uma revisão integrativa de literatura

INTRODUÇÃO: Cuidado Paliativo Pediátrico (CPP) refere-se à assistência fornecida por uma equipe multiprofissional, com o objetivo de melhorar a qualidade de vida de crianças e adolescentes, bem como de suas famílias, diante de doenças que ameaçam a continuidade da vida. Nesse contexto, o Terapeuta Ocupacional desempenha um papel fundamental, promovendo a independência e autonomia nas atividades cotidianas que são afetadas pela doença e/ou tratamento. O crescente reconhecimento da importância dos cuidados paliativos na pediatria ressalta a necessidade de ferramentas eficazes para avaliar e orientar as intervenções da Terapia Ocupacional. OBJETIVO: Mapear os instrumentos de avaliação padronizados utilizados no contexto do CPP hospitalar. PROCEDIMENTOS METODOLÓGICOS: Revisão integrativa da literatura, nas bases de dados da Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS) e PubMed, nos idiomas inglês e português, no período de 2012 a 2024. RESULTADOS: Foram identificados 15 estudos, que indicaram 23 instrumentos de avaliação padronizados. Esses instrumentos foram analisados de acordo com duas unidades temáticas: (1) domínios dos instrumentos e (2) quem são os informantes. CONCLUSÃO: A presente revisão contribuiu para a ampliação do conhecimento acerca dos instrumentos de avaliação padronizados utilizados em CPP, discutindo como os domínios abordados nos instrumentos favorecem o raciocínio terapêutico ocupacional.
