This article rescues the advances of an investigation that is occurring throughout the years on the Andean theatricality, and on how it is present in Peru’s traditional festivals, in which ancestral notions in permanent transformation are manifested. The specific case of the theatricality described and examined here is the Virgem de Carmem festival, in Paucartambo, Cuzco, Peru.
