Abstract

Translation of an interview given by Mr. Ruggero Jacobbi, director of Società Italiana Autori Drammatici (Siad) and former director of the Accademia Nazionale d'Arte Drammatica Silvio D'Amico, who lived in Brazil from December 1946 to 1960, working as a director with several Brazilian companies, TBC among them, and as a teacher at the School of Dramatic Arts, in São Paulo, and as a theater critic for several newspapers in Rio, São Paulo and Rio Grande do Sul, where he created a theater course at the Philosophy Department of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul.
