Abstract

This article reflects on the pedagogical experience of the course Internal Seminar: Shared Research Methodology, taught in the Graduate Program in Performing Arts at UFRJ between 2021 and 2025. Drawing on the contributions of Bruno Latour and Thomas Kuhn, it discusses the crisis of the modern image of science and its implications for research methodologies in the performing arts. The course was structured through horizontal and vertical dynamics of project sharing, combining theoretical debates, writing exercises, and visual and performative experimentations. The results highlight: the substantial reformulation of research projects through collective processes of reflection; the constitution of an epistemic community grounded in collaboration and horizontality; the expansion of methodological devices, with emphasis on visual, performative, and process-based practices; and the incorporation of forms of writing that foreground the situated, relational, and iterative nature of research in the performing arts.
