This article analyzes the occurrence of frequent conflicts and worsening relationships in the homes of young people from Guarulhos, SP, during the covid-19 pandemic. Using survey data, logistic regression models were built to identify the socioeconomic and behavioral factors associated with these conflicts. Lack of adequate space in the home, changes in routine, and being coerced into doing something increased the chances of conflict and worsened relationships. Conflicts were more frequent among women, younger people, and those who were financially dependent. Taken together, family conflicts and youth vulnerabilities worsened during the pandemic.
