The municipality of Lins, in the state of São Paulo, has undergone significant transformations in Mental Health Care, evolving from a hospital reference model to a territorial and community-based model. This work aims to carry out a historical retrospective of the changes that have occurred, describing the actions of psychosocial assistance, promotion, prevention and rehabilitation through the implementation of substitutive services integrated into primary care, pointing to the solutions that can fulfill the principles of Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS - National Health System). The priority was the implementation of Centros de Atenção Psicossocial (Psychosocial Care Centers), which are strategic devices to favor social insertion. The Municipal Management has made significant technical and financial investments that have enabled the consolidation of the National Mental Health Policy, extending inter-sector articulations.Downloads
