Direito a saúde: o papel de diferentes sujeitos sociais no exercício da cidadania

Abstract

The present paper aims at both reflecting upon the citizenship and institutional power and depicting the different perceptions of health held by different social/institutional subjects linked to a basic health unit in order to search for ways of contributing to the consolidation of the National Public Health System (SUS) and thus the Sanitary Reform. In this way the theory of problematization-action was applied to the users of the School Health Centre Jardim Campos Eliseos for the selection of certain actions to solve part of the existing problems. This paper shows the possibility of keeping the counter-hegemonic struggle in search for social equality even in unfavourable scenarios.
