Epidemiologic risks associated with urban wastewater use due to infection and parasitic agents, carcinogenics and mutagenics contaminants and their environment effects have been the concern of the technical and scientific communities. However, the treatment of water supplies and wastewater is not sufficient to assure the elimination of patogenics agents. WHO recommends the use of multiple barriers for the elimination of toxic substances and biological agents to secure the safety and quality of water.Downloads
