About a hundred years ago the urban society began to know a certain amount ofbizarre sounds that had never heard before. These soundsthe machines motors - brought by the industrial and the electric revolution had multiplied along the century, onthe verge o f creating a sound mass, composed by sounds óf low definition (lo-fi). On the other hand, globalisation has occupied, day by day, a more extended space-time territory. Music became cosmopolitan, as we can hear the same soundtrack, the saro e musical repertoire everywhere, worldwide, from airports to restaurants, it is the hit parade which composes the urban soundscape for the human anthill that inhabits the planet. This text aims to· discuss through a musical perspective, the role o f today 's soundscape, in a society, which progressively gains traits of an entomological on~.Downloads
