Tortura e violência de Estado em dois contos de Caio Fernando Abreu

Abstract

This article aims to analyze images of State violence in tales of Caio Fernando Abreu related to the period of military dictatorship in Brazil. The analysis is based on the concept of violence proposed by Hannah Arendt, who relates it to the concept of power, and takes into account also the Brazilian socio-historical context of the time.
