Abstract

Este artigo propõe compreender a expertise em tradução como um sistema adaptativo complexo, considerando abordagens como cognição 4E (embodied, embedded, enactive, extended) e a teoria dos sistemas complexos, que analisa a interação entre partes de um sistema e sua relação com o ambiente (Bar-Yam, 2002). A partir das reflexões de Alves; Jakobsen (2021) e Alves; Da Silva (2021, 2022), a expertise é vista como uma atividade situada, distribuída e estendida, influenciada por fatores sensoriais, corporais, perceptivos, contextuais e sociais. Essa perspectiva oferece potencial epistemológico para entender o desempenho experto em tradução, destacando a relevância dos múltiplos domínios que compõem esta tarefa, inclusive em contextos laboratoriais controlados para pesquisa empírico-experimental.
