Mark Devenney é professor da Universidade de Brighton e codiretor do Centre for Applied Philosophy, Politics and Ethics (CAPPE). Autor de Ethics and Politics in Contemporary Theory (2004) e Towards an Improper Politics (2020), Devenney contribui ao debate internacional com um trabalho de renovação da tradição pós-marxista. Nesta entrevista, ele oferece uma leitura crítica do escopo e dos limites da teoria populista no âmbito do pensamento pós-fundacional. O autor defende a centralidade da propriedade e das heranças coloniais nas lógicas políticas contemporâneas. A entrevista apresenta também reflexões sobre o Brasil, analisando as tensões entre o lulismo, a extrema direita e as resistências democráticas.
