Author Biographies

  • Mario Vallejo, Institute of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of Sao Paulo

    is an Architectural and Engineering Draftman, and holds a Master's degree in Architecture. He is a researcher at Nomads.usp, and PhD candidate in the Graduate Program in Architecture and Urbanism at the Institute of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. He studies digital design processes, collaboration, BIM, and methods and means of representation.

  • Henrique Parra, Federal University of Sao Paulo. Faculty of Philosophy, Literature and Human Sciences

    holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, a Master’s degree in Sociology, and a PhD in Education. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Social Sciences at the Federal University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and works in the Postgraduate Program in Social Sciences at the same university. He coordinates Pimentalab – Laboratory of Technology, Politics – and is a researcher at the Latin American Network for Studies in Surveillance, Technology and Society – LAVITS. He investigates the social dynamics of knowledge production in the context of the digital technologies expansion, with an emphasis on the relationship between changes in the forms of knowledge production and political action. He has a comprehensive experience on collaborative research and university extension projects with stakeholders outside the university.

  • Pedro Plácido Teixeira, Institute of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of Sao Paulo

    Architect, holds a Master's degree in Architecture and Urbanism and is a Ph.D. candidate in the Postgraduate Program in Architecture and Urbanism at the Institute of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. He is a researcher at Nomads.usp and studies the use of documentary film for urban readings, based on participatory and collaborative processes of audiovisual production, focusing mainly on Latin America.
