Abstract

This essay seeks to contextualize current research interests and interfaces of Nomads.usp with the theme "The construction of memory", through a brief reading of related finished and ongoing research activities. Although Nomads.usp is not known as a research group dealing specifically with historical and heritage issues, an examination of these works shows that several of them address the themes of Cultural Heritage and the Construction of Memory. Furthermore, some of them seek to contribute to the construction of historical databases on Architecture and Urbanism in Brazil. This text proposes a thematic categorization from issues dealing with in individual research works, and briefly presents transversal projects related to the themes of the Construction of Memory and Cultural Heritage, as well as its methodological principles.
