Based on the absence of detailed and ample papers disposed at the literature, focusing cryosurgery in domestic cats, we aim with this work, to evaluate the practicability and effectiveness of this method in squamous cell carcinoma. We submitted 50 cats to cryosurgery, using liquid nitrogen as a cryogen (by spray or probe equipment). It was observed a complete remission and cure in 80% of lesions, corresponding to a cure rate of 72% . The cryosurgery was considered a practical, safe and effective method to be performed at the small animals veterinary clinic condition at the city of São Paulo, Brazil.Downloads
