The mediatization of the impeachment
publishing commitment on the Brazilian weekly magazine covers

This article analyzes the journalistic discourses produced on the impeachment of President Dilma Rousseff on weekly magazine covers of national circulation within the context of mediatization of society. As empirical object of analysis, three covers were selected at the same date for each of the following magazines: CartaCapital, IstoÉ and Veja, ensuing the impeachment voting process in the Chamber of Deputies. The action of the weekly magazines on their elaborate covers during the political trial of Dilma Rousseff is subject of this article, considering the publishing commitment of these journalistic-promotional works.
