Abstract

The subject of the critique crisis is approached in this article as a central argument to the consolidation of a communication critique and, more specifically, of a critical analysis for audiovisual production. Having as an empirical reference the recent music related to gender performances in Brazil, this article proposes that audiovisual critique leads to “scratches” in the media continuum and the communicative spiral. The singing expression of subaltern bodies contributes to a non-consensual spectral contract, and thus capable of generating not only mimesis but also transformation or mutation of states (sensitive, cultural, social).
