This study was carried out to determine the effects of triacontanol 0.01 mg.1-1, 0.1mg .1-1 and 1 mg.1-1 on germination of Zea mays cv. Cargill-525 and Lycopersicon esculentum cv. Kada seeds, under laboratory conditions. Measurements realized 7 and 14 days after sowing in Petri dishes with 10 ml of chemicals solution, showed that higher triacontanol concentrations presented a tendency of increased radicle and hypocotyl growth of tomato seedlings, 14 days after application. At this time it was verified that higher triacontanol concentrations showed a tendency of increased hypocotyl growth of maize seedlings.Downloads
