Abstract

A preliminary industrial hygiene survey was made in the storage battery plants of the city of São Paulo. Each one of the steps of the process of manufacture and the problems of hygiene and safety related to them were studied. Some comments on the industrial hazards found and suggestions about the methods of control advisable are presented.
