The author discusses the need of having a glossary of epidemiologic terms, in order to reach uniformity in nomenclaturc. He points out the advantages that would result, bearing in mind that the establishment of such terms and their meaning at National Congresses would be convenient, and it would then be possible to adopt them ali over Brazil. He suggests also that glossaries for other branches of Public Health should be prepared. We would have, then, a dictionary, of great use to our Public Health workers. Finally, the author presents a list of the chief terms used in Epidemiology, nearly two hundred, classified in alphabetical order, with their respective meanings, synonyms, and examples.Downloads
