The observations we present here are part of some studies we have done in order to select the most convenient method to diagnose the intestinal parasitism in human feces. By continuing in this work observations begun by one of us (Coutinho,1956), we are comparing results obtained in 200 fece examinations done simultaneously by "FAUST" and by "MIFC". Such results round in the charts numbers 1 to 9 have been properly analysed according to the diagnoses by the two processes we are considering. It has been noticed that using the "FAUST" and "MIFC" methods simultaneously to diagnose the intestinal parasitism in human feces, one can conclude that both methods are similar in showing positives though they have differed significantly in the case of Endolimax nana. Since the occurrence of a single comparison in a series of nine comparisons has a small probability of being due to chance, we thought of such a difference as a consequence of a bigger specific weight of the cysts of these parasites which caused a greater positiveness by the centrifugation at the "MIFC", hypothesis which shall be investigated in latter works.Downloads
