OS DADOS NOSOGEOGRÃFICOS OBTIDOS ATRAVÉS O MATADOURO E A SUA IMPORTÂNCIA PARA A SAÚDE PÚBLICA

The importance that slaughterhouses should have the knowledge of animal diseases intensity and of the areas where there is enzootic foci of diseases, is reported in this paper. This fact is of public health interest too, since that some animal diseases are rommunirable to man. Some data about cysticercosis and tuberculosis incidence in cattle at T. Maia S/ A Slaughterhouse, at Araçatuba city, São Paulo, Brazil, are given. These data are referred to the period 1961-1964. The bibliography records shows that these data are quite similar to those recorded of many years ago. So, concerning bovine tuberculosis and cystirercosis, the artual incidence in slaughterhouse shows no alterations, presenting interchanging inrrease and decrease periods.Downloads
