In this paper a sistematization of musical structures of African-Brazilian music and music making is being proposed. Based African musicological concepts, African-Brazilian musical products are perceived in a specific manner. Although not representing African music itself, these Brazilian musical genres are deeply oriented by various principles of musical thinking and musical practices of notorious African background. Taking them over as their own, these Brazilian musics are enabled to go further tracing new paths, specially regarding functional aspects and their esthetic concepts.Downloads
