Abstract

This work discusses the characteristics of the poetry produced in the last 50 years and the poets’ place in a divided world, as the one is able to avoid the chaos by assuring to the word the right and its power to keep going on founding utopias. The poetic matter evokes the roots of a people, a people marginalized by the captivity of inequality, but the road of the Angola’s poetry is marked by a history of resistances to the domination, in a struggle, among others, of the word against the forgetfulness. Through memories, it is possible to recover the trust in utopia and get a glimpse to overcome the colonial barbarie’s.
