Résumé

As language is still one of the main concerns of African nations, this paper aims to revisit the debate of the Kenyan Ngugi and the Nigerian Chinua Achebe regarding the use of Europeans languages in African Literatures. Thus, it also comes to terms with the political role of language and literature as a tool of liberation as well as the political role of African writers.
